Never slow down.

Welcome to the Microsoft Lounge at the Web 2.0 Summit here in San Francisco!

It was incredible to listen to the conversations happening at the Summit while being able to discuss what was developing with the Microsoft team and it's partners! Some of the product demos in the Lounge were for Bing, Win7, and a Microsoft partner telligent, who provides the community software for Bing. Very cool products!

I was really blown away by the calibre of the individuals at the Summit and their openness to bring me into the conversation. I brushed elbows with the movers and shakers (cliche I know, but the absolute truth) in the tech community and was accepted as a peer! That is HUGE! I've only been in San Francisco for a few months, and active in the tech community for less than that, and my point of view is starting to matter!

I'm on cloud 9 right now!

Speaking of cloud 9... The party at Ruby Skye was what I imagine Heaven to be like.

Dancers...Drums...Drinks...

It's time for me to install my FREE (FCC can't touch this) copy of Windows 7!

“Reframe It
seeks to transform the nature of the public web by creating a virtual margin alongside any web page on which users can post comments to be shared with other users and read what others have written. Reframe It makes it possible for users to place any online material in a new light. It allows each user to benefit from the insights of other users who place specific online content in context and share their reactions in the form of online marginalia."

Layout

You may have noticed the layout has changed recently! I'm working on updating this page so that it all of the other pages HireMeSF is associated with can be easily linked here!

I'm here, I swear!!

Finally got a laptop so I can keep this page constantly updated!

Tomorrow morning I will be at GraceWorks networking and enjoying some much needed human-interaction!

If you haven't heard about GraceWorks it is a weekly meetup for "career transition support for unemployed and underemployed professionals of the San Francisco Bay Area." And has been enormously helpful in my search and how I approach people while searching for a job.

Here is what will be happening tomorrow morning-

Success Teams-Facilitated by Robb Anderson & Jim Dowling

Date: Monday September 14, 2009
Time: 8:30 am - 11:00 am
Location: Grace Cathedral - Wilsey Room
School¹s back in session! With Labor Day in the rear view mirror it¹s a good
time to polish up the job search skills and to partner with hardworking
others in order to hit the ground running for the fall hiring season. On
Monday GraceWorks will have two members presenting on topics vital to
raising the level of your effectiveness in the job search.

Jim Dowling will lead the group on a collaborative excursion into developing
an elevator pitch that you will want to hang your hat on. He will devote
extended time to drafting (with small group support) an elevator pitch that
is punchy, concise and compelling. Then you¹ll get to share your spiffy new
pitch with others. It will be great fun!

For the second half of the presentation Geoff Wing, our resident success
team specialist, will facilitate a discussion and Q&A focused on best
practices and next steps for those looking to expand their efforts and start
a success team.

It promises to be a value packed day, rich with community involvement,
practice time and networking opportunities. See you on Monday!

Be there tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM!

Super awesome and outrageously busy weekend!

WOW!

Since Friday evening I've been at the Women2.0 sponsored Startup Weekend here at sfCUBE in San Francisco!

Over 150 people met, formed ideas, then worked their butts off to come up with a presentable product or service in 52 hours!

I was fortunate enough to join the BEST team; EscapeMyDate.com!

We created a FREE service for people who need to Escape any kind of sticky situation!

I was able to witness and participate in the ground-up formation of a startup company! From idea storming to business plans to ways to market and monetize!

I've got to run and finish up  with my teammates to come up with our after-weekend strategy! I'll update tomorrow morning and let everyone know what our future plans are!

All quiet on the western front

Things have been rather dead in the job-hunting world the last week.

I landed a job doing retail work for minimum wage while I keep an eye out for that "perfect job"!

I've also sourced a video camera and someone to help me shoot a new webreality show documenting my search! So hopefully within the next week we'll have the first HireMeSF video up!

I'm on my way to work now so I'll keep this short!!
